The terms of use for the "Project presentation forum for administrators"

  • cls-design's "Project presentation forum for administrators" considers itself as an active and constructive discussion place for administrators, users and people commenting on projects. Anyone who likes to discuss here his/her idea, a certain part of a project or the current project implementation can do so, but on the one hand certain basic guidelines are needed (to be listed right below), on the other hand it has to be kept in mind that although any feedback is meant to be helpful, it doesn't fail to be clear. Anything has to be seen as non-binding interaction, technical exchange and how an idea or a project status can be optimized, it's not about personal insults or accusations.

This forum is aimed at all the administrators running their project either for a long time, setting it up thoroughly or being so experienced with aspects related to forums, WBB etc., so as not starting at zero and therefore going into a skid in case of questions concerning individual icons, a logo and community structure.

Individual aspects concerning community issues can be discussed in this General administrators' talks forum.

    +++++ Presentation Guidelines +++++

Anyone who wants to present his/her idea or project status (forum, blog, website etc.) can do this, but please has to keep to the following guidelines:

    1. Each plan/project has to be offered with at least a short, but descriptive title and a description, so that the reader can gather the most elementary information (what is it about, what is offered, what is important to know, how to find the website...).

    2. The plan/project should be presented by the involved administrator and only in exceptional cases by an authorized person (e.g. co-administrator, team member or the like) because usually only the administrator is able to provide specific information.

    3. Please mind the basic grammatical and stylistic standards in the course of presentation (large and lower case, punctuation, paragraphs, spelling, etc.) to make sure that the text can be easily read and understood.

    4. When formatting, please ensure that an acceptable level of color/s, size/s etc. is maintained as everything else can cause problems due the used browser or is considered to be not too eye-friendly.

    5. When presenting the idea, please use a label in advance to indicate the exact reason. There are three different labels:

Feedback: You want people to comment on the basic impressions of a projects and write down which questions, problems and aspects on optimization they came up with.

Question: With this label the administrator can explicitly ask which aspect of the project s/he would like to discuss (e.g. "Design"). Then the people commenting can write down their opinions, ideas and tips accurately.

Problem: Here the administrator can specifically tell what problem s/he would like to discuss (e.g. "I have a blog, but don't know what I should use it for?"). Then the people commenting can offer their experiences, ideas and tips accurately.

In addition to these general guidelines, there are projects that we reject here due to the plattform's rules. Anyone trying to present his/her project nevertheless, must reckon with the consequences and the presentation will be deleted immediately and without comment.

+++++ These projects/ideas are not allowed here +++++

    - Pure advertising of third-party websites

    - Pure self-promotion in terms of marketing

    - Projects exhibiting illegal, extreme political and religious content or showing pornographic and sexist topics

    - Projects only serving to damage a reputation

    - Projects in the range of propaganda

    - "Funny" threads without recognizable motifs

+++++ Anyone who wants to successfully introduce his/her idea or project, may please stick to these desirable rules of conduct +++++

    - Everyone can take part in discussions, but in a polite and matter-of-fact tone.

    - No bashing, flaming, trolling, etc. will be accepted here.

    - Each thread is an explicit invitation for interaction, so the person presenting a thread is actively involved and thus should take part.

    - Monosyllabic responses ("Yes" / "No"), non-verbal responses (*hmmm*) and only parts of the set as a reply aren't helpful. Therefore make sure that you contribute as extensively and precisely as possible.

    - "Pushing" one's thread is rude and we're reluctant to see that.

    - Different type of feedback is possible due to the different participants of the community. Because the internet doesn't transmit gestures/expressions and smilies can seem contradictory, awkward wording or interpretations can occur. In this case a request for explanation/clarification can be offered, a question asked or the like, but don't react in an aggressive, offensive, defiant or vulgar way to responses.

You can contact the cls-design team any time in case of a question or problem (even before presenting your thread).

    Enjoy presenting and discussing!
