I could not help but notice that one of the styles offers an upgrade package, while a different style here does not offer an upgrade package.
Is this any indication that the other style has no plans for future support on the next software upgrade or was this simply an error? 
The styles I am comparing is Focus and Bromida. Focus has the upgrade package, while Bromida does not.

some of the styles are compatible with WBB4.0 and WBB4.1 - without any changes.

If you order now you need only the basic license, yes.
The upgrade-package is only for customers with an old license for WBB3.
